The 1st annual Time Out Respite Care Texas Holdem Charity Event was a huge success!! The event packed the parking lot and the event room at the Family Table Restaurant in North Port, Florida so much so that the local newspaper's Our Town editor was called at home on a Saturday to find out what all the commotion was about.
Lenny Rifkin, President of All American Poker League, Inc. the company holding the event, was quoted as saying "we actually had players that came later we were unable to seat!. Next time we will be prepared for well over 100 players".
All American Poker League, Inc. provides free no limit Texas Hold'em at local eateries, bowling alleys and businesses in the surrounding areas of Sarasota, De Soto, Charlotte and Lee counties of Florida. All American Poker League KICKS OFF in Port Charlotte!
This week All American Poker League, Inc. held it's grand opening at two local host businesses, John Hall's Goal Post & Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill, both in Port Charlotte Florida.
Each event had two FULL tables of players and provided a fun filled evening out for all each night!
Several high hands were dealt at Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill on Tuesday July 19th, 2011, while the players at the Goal Post on Monday night had to grind out every hand with some bad beats going down for several players.

An Alternative Free Poker League for Port Charlotte Florida
I've heard, in the wind, there is a new free poker league coming to the Port Charlotte Florida area. This new league promises to be a welcome change to the current strangle hold that Club Poker League currently has on the Port Charlotte area.
Many people have been asking and some have attempted to bring a new free poker league to the area but until now these attempts have been unsuccessful.
I for one welcome the opportunity to play Texas Hold'em in several cities in southwest Florida and with any and all companies, casinos and the like that provide a fun filled event for me to take family and friends.
Bravo new FREE poker league company(s), spread your wings and fly!!! I for one will visit the Port Charlotte Florida businesses you have selected as your poker spots and I will bring many of my friends as well.
